Authentic

Was craving some ‘western food’ while on holidays and stumbled across this gem. It is hidden in a back alleyway so a little hard to find but easy with google maps. Burgers were to die for - I had the double cheeseburger and was not disappointed. Price is good and service is amazing. Was quiet when we went for an early dinner (thurs 6pm) but soon after started getting busier. Small restaurant so might have to wait at some point. Highly recommended if you feel like you’ve had 12 too many ramens lately! 🙂🙂

4.5 stars. The burgers are extremely tasty. I especially like the sesame seeds on the bun. The fries are hot and crisp - they remind me of McDonald’s fries, but better. The overall flavours are classic American. The burger bag is a nice touch to help keep your burger together. Service is a bit slow but remains reasonable. Would recommend!

The hamburger was very delicious. I also recommend the hot dog which comes with various toppings.

Great little burger bar. We found it randomly in a Thursday night, super quick service and delicious burger and fries. Would recommend for anyone to come here. Cool little place.

Authentic is legit! By far the best burger I have had in a long time. Go figure, I had to experience this halfway around the world. The patty was moist and well seasoned, all of the components went well with each other (sometimes the patty flavor at hamburger places is really beefy or just doesn't mesh well). The toasted brioche style bun was on point, and there were just a few fragments of onions to provide good flavor. We got a bacon cheeseburger, a cheeseburger, and sides of chicken nuggets and a hash brown. Nuggets and hash brown came out really hot and perfectly fried. The almost one and four year olds voraciously ate any of the above we gave them. Will be going back when I need my fix definitely.

Amazing tasting burgers. Their sauce reminds me a little bit of in n out sauce which I LOVE. Perfectly toasted buns, great patty, crunchy lettuce and tomatoes. Burgers range from 997 yen for the basic hamburger (which is what I got) to about 1500 yen. They all come with fries. It’s a great cozy place that seats around 15 people.

Nice place to grab a burger in akasaka... There is different games and toys to past the time while waiting for the food. As the the geek I am, I managed to build a benzene ring while waiting... 😁

They burgers and fries are really good. If you get extra fries (pictured), it’s only 123 yen! Prices are very much on the same range of other burger joints, and actually fairly affordable considering location. The place also looks really cool inside! We came on a Saturday afternoon and didn’t have to wait at all!

Feasted on a takeway double cheeseburger with bacon, the sauce was quite peppery, but still pretty damn tasty. Got takeaway due to it being busy at the time and a wait for seats (was there around 12:45pm on a Thursday).

One of the best burger joints in Tokyo. I had the spicy garlic burger and it was so good I had to order the peach burger too. Next time I'll try the maximum one. Each burger is a little over 1000JPY, but hey you're in Tokyo, so that's kind of an expected price. They have about four tables that sit four people each and three counter seats. Usually crowded even right before closing, so expect to wait a few minutes. The menu was in English too. #FoodComa

Exceptionally tasting burgers. The buns are lightly toasted but not too oily, the patties are very juicy, and the toppings are very fresh. The flavours are separated nicely as you bite into it which is indicative of a high quality burger. Only thing would have been a few more fries on the side to complement the massive burger on the plate.

I love the burgers here!! You can taste every ingredient. The guy cooks everything perfectly, including the fries. Go for the broccoli burger with some jalapeño on the side (the pickles aren’t crispy unfortunately).When I get cravings for burgers, I come here.

Really bad lunch today.The cook was rude and the waitress a nightmare.My friend and I ordered drinks it never came. When we asked the lady, she told us to wait...After eating, still no drinks.I am really disappointed. Hamburger: too much pepper and salt.

Great hamburger, I got the spicy garlic one with the warning on the bottom. Quick service, very English friendly. Not that I have tried many, but best burger I've had in Japan.

I had a great avocado burger here last week I was surprised- nicely toasted bun & high quality meat. Took a while to make because the table next to me ordered a lot, which looked good (wings, salads, other appetizers). My side of fries were delicious also. I will go again.

The restaurant is small and tight quarters but the burgers and french fries are amazing. There can be a lengthy line during lunch hours but the wait is totally worth it. The staff is wonderful and the food comes out very quickly after ordering.

Great burgers and other sandwiches and sides. The bacon cheese burger has great flavor, light and fluffy bun, and comes french fries in the perfect portion. Also recommend the chili cheese burger, and their fried chicken is also really good.

I went on a Friday at lunch time without this app I never would have found it. But I did smell it before I saw it. There was a line out the door. I waited about 15 minutes outside, then another 20 after ordering to get the burger. I was tempted to order the broccoli cheese burger but went with the double cheese instead. The fries were ordinary & just warm. The burger was very tasty though. It was a reasonable price.

Boom! I’ve been over 20Burger joints in Tokyo and Authentic is def in my top 3. Try the broccoli burger, the sauce and melted cheese are amazing with the crunch of broccoli giving an added layer. You won’t be disappointed. Decor of the restaurant is nice and chilled too, with friendly staff. 3rd time today...and I’ll be back!

The best burger place in Akasaka, maybe all of Tokyo! We love this place!!! Great burgers, dogs, nuggets, and fries. They have great salads too 👍My 6 year old loves the food plus there are puzzles and games to entertain him. They do speak English. Cash only!!

Great burger!We came here twice because we liked it so much the first time we just had to come back.This was hands down the best burger we had in Tokyo and second best in Japan (the first being Craft Dining Upit in Kyoto).If you are in Tokyo this is a must.

Very tasty hamburgers. I ordered the chilli hamburger set which doesn't include a drink and is quite expensive in my opinion. The set is a hamburger and fries.The burger was delicious, we got takeout and ate our hamburgers in a park because we were practicing social distancing.

Excellent burger in a city of many average ones. Decently priced. The extra price for a lunchtime drink is ridiculous and some of the sides cost are a joke but food wise, amazing.

This has been my first experience in Asia. Never would’ve thought that I would come to Japan and have a burger that tasted so good! Good job guys!

Great tasting burger, immaculately prepared and presented. We both had avocado hamburger and absolutely enjoyed it. Our burgers took a while to come out, but we could tell that they took great care in preparing our burgers. Everything was placed nicely, the patty was cooked to perfection, the fries were crispy and not too greasy. My daughter had chicken nuggets and the batter was light and crispy. This place is also great for kids as it has a good range of toys and English story books. Overall, we enjoyed our burgers even though I don’t eat burgers often, but when I do, I will go back to this place for sure.
